Stanton's best cartridges were the 881's and 981's mirrored in Pickering with the XSV 3000, and 5000. Hard to find now and selling on ebay with prices nearing $1000. Fact is, nothing made today can out track these designs, nothing. Currently, none of my suppliers are offering a suitable replacement for this cartridge.
Stanton's
68X series features high output moving iron technology. In the company of some
very admired audiophile cartridges, the "Triple EEE" produces a warm full
bodied sound and out tracks "hi end" cartridges costing much more.
All models featured 4 coil circuit, moving
magnet like output level, annealed steel outer shell for superb hum rejection.
Welded mounting flange for tighter coupling to the headshell.

Stanton's 500E and 720EE series cartridges are very popular replacements for yesterdays turntables. In cases where a replacement stylus is no longer available for your turntable, consider one of these models. They are fine performers for the collector or music lover on a budget. The L720 is a universal design that will plug into the T4P P-Mount tonearm or to standard mount headshells with universal adapter(shown).
