KAB TD-1200
Fluid Damping Upgrade For Technics SL-1200 MK2/3 Turntable Tonearm

KAB Introduces the TD-1200.
The Technics SL-1200 is world reknown for high performance. In addition to the 78 RPM upgrade, KAB now offers the TD-1200 fluid damping system for the Technics SL-1200 Tonearm. This custom machined aluminum trough and paddle system fits the existing tonearm perfectly. Tracking on warps is outstanding, even at 78 RPM. Because the stylus is now even more stable in the groove, the retrieval of detail is also enhanced. Bass performance too moves up a notch since all low frequency resonance is eliminated.

Features include:

  • Precision Machined Aluminum Trough
  • Precision Molded Tonearm Paddle
  • 60,000 CST Silicone Damping Fluid
  • Easy User Installation

DJ's may also find the TD-1200 useful in enhancing Scratch Performance. The current trend of straight underhung tonearms for this application is creating a buzz in the industry due to the excessive distortion and record wear caused by the underhung design. The TD-1200 retains the tracking accuracy of the offset tonearm while eliminating the loss of control caused by the reverse anti skate force when spinning backwards.

Warranty: 1 Year
Price: TD-1200 $149.95 US

KAB Great Sound Escort Module RF-1
Vinyl Playback Rumble Filter With Active Cancellation

KAB Introduces the GSE RF-1.
Rumble Filters were once very poular items. With the advent of CD's, the need for LF filters was unneccesary. Now with record playing enjoying a renaissance, Many more people need this special device. Rumble is created either by vibrations in the turntable drive system, seismic vibration, or actually part of the recording when the master disc was created. Rumble can usually be seen as a fluctuation of the woofers, often quite wild at high volume. It can also create acoustic feedback. The RF-1 suppresses low frequency energy below 20 Hz using a steep 18db/oct filter. Also, the RF-1 uses an active cross cancellation circuit that blends the bass frequencies below 140 Hz together. This effectively suppresses rumble caused by warps.

Features include:

  • 18 db/oct -3dB@20Hz filter
  • Active Cross Cancellation Below 140 Hz
  • Audiophile Grade Parts and Construction
  • Easy User Installation

This is a must for vinyl enthusiasts, live DJ's and when burning CD's for the car.

Warranty: 1 Year

KAB PS-1200
Ouboard Regulated Power Supply For Technics SL-1200

KAB Introduces the PS-1200.
The PS-1200 is a full featured outboard regulated powersupply for the Technics SL-1200 mk2/3/4/5 turntable system. Designed for the express purpose of replacing the internal power transformer thus eliminating a source of both acoustic and electromagnetic radiation. The original power supply used very little reservoir capacitance, instead relying on a wide compliance DC regulator to also perform the task of capacitance multiplication. Having to respond to large amounts of power supply ripple, the regulator is limited in it's ability to regulate the load current. By providing a stiff clean DC to start with, the internal regulator can concentrate wholly on load regulation, thus improving responsiveness. The elimination of the transformer radiation and vibration lowers the noise floor, thus deepening the playback resolution.
Also included is a SENSE circuit that detects the action of the original power switch to control the PS-1200. This retains the esthetic feel of the original 1200 controls and lets you place the PS-1200 anywhere.

Features include:

  • Quiet Toroid Power Transformer
  • Available Wired For 120 or 220 VAC Service
  • Large 4700 uF Reservoir Rapacitor
  • Power SENSE Circuitry
  • IEC Power Cord
  • 2 DC Outputs
  • Steel Resonance Damped Chassisi

Warranty: 1 Year
Price: KAB PS-1200 $249.95 US

June 2004
KAB SX-1200
SL1200 Strobe Disable Circuit

KAB Introduces the SX-1200.
While developing the PS-1200 outboard power supply, internal measurements showed a high frequency pulse noise interference being generated by the strobe lamp itself. Since the strobe lamp is only needed to set speed changes, it seemed like a wise idea to develop a strobe disabler.
The circuit installs quickly with only 3 wire connections. In use you simply hold the start-stop button down for 5 seconds and the lamp will disable. Hold again for 5 seconds and the lamp returns on. The lamp will always be on when first turning the turntable on.

Features include:

  • Reliable 5V digital circuit
  • Easy Installation. Just 3 wire interface.
  • Circuit Noise Elimination Enhances FG Servo Performance

Warranty: 1 Year
Price: KAB SX-1200 $49.95 US
