GOLDRING EROICA SERIES

   The Goldring Eroica series are audiophile performance moving coil phono cartridges. Their unique features include non resonant Pocan body and low mass stylus assembly, and special Geiger geometry line contact nude diamonds. Goldring's attention to materials and construction reduces energy storage effects which obscure fine musical details. The sound from the Eroica series is full bodied and rich in harmonic detail. The Moving coil design presents a "certain transparency" to the soundstage that is very involving. The medium compliance suspension permits a good match with most tonearms.
   The H model has hi output and will work with all phono preamps. The LX model is a traditional low output design, it requires the special moving coil input or a pre preamp like the KAB PreMC.

   The EROICA SERIES will fit any standard tonearm. Mounting is accomplished with two screws ½" apart. Hardware is included.

   Goldring remains one of the few companies that fit high performance line contact styli to their line of value priced cartridges. The benefit is better highs and less mis tracking.

   The powerful rare earth Neodymium magnet allows for a shortened magnetic path and a concentration of the field at the pole shoe gap. This helps reduce the amount of iron in the cartridge keeping the weight down to a mere 5.5 grams

   The really great features to take note of with the Eroica Series are, I believe, the unique construction and moving coil sound. The Eroica Series series provides construction qualities often reserved for single piece moving coil designs.

   both models share the same strong, one piece body made from Pocan, an ultra rigid glass-reinforced polyester. All fixed parts can be held securely in place and the body can be tightly bolted to the headshell.

   The Hi output "H" version will work well in most moving magnet style phono preamps, though optimum signal to noise ratio will occur with a stage gain of about 43 dB

   The Low output "LX" version requires a hi gain moving coil input with a gain of about 53dB will yield good signal to noise ratio. The recommended load resistance is 100 Ohms.
