    Parametric EQ is different than the more common graphic EQ in that it lets you sweep the frequency range and control the bandwidth. This gives much more tonal effect and control.

    The APHEX 109 can also be set to "shelf" mode and it will behave like conventional bass and treble controls.

    The Tubessence circuit is a unique long life design that uses a real 12AX7 twin triode tube.

    All steel construction wards off the effects of stray magnetic fields.

    The really great features to take note of with the APHEX 109 are, I believe, the Tubessence® circuit and flexibility.

    The 109 is one of the most unique parametric equalizers on the market. The Peak Shelf mode is difficult to find on other products and the Tubessence circuit is Aphex' patented design.

    Tube processing is all the rage in recording and in hi end hi fi. The 109 just allows a little more power. Why, there are tube stages alone that cost this much or more, why not get a little more for you audio dollars?
