    I have yet to hear an audio system that could not benefit from the enhancement of the Aphex 204. It's not the sound system that is deficient, it's the records and CD's and Tapes. Recorded media is nowhere near the sound of real life. They all need a little help.

    The APHEX 204 features Exciter controls for Tune and Mix and Harmonics. These set the range of operation and degree of enhancement. The Big Bottom features controls for Drive, Tune, and Mix. These set the threshold trigger, degree, and amount of enhancement .

    The really great features to take note of with the APHEX 204 are, I believe, the low cost and downright musicality of the enhancement.

    Other spectrum enhancers use dynamic EQ techniques or play with phase shifting frequency bands. These techniques create audible artifacts and enhance everything in their path including noise. The 204 uses harmonic enhancement which is inherently natural sounding.

    Front panel controls allow full adjustment of both bass and treble enhancement. Use it subtly in hi end systems, or drive it harder to bring vintage recordings back to life.
